Severe weather over the past few days throughout East Texas and Northwest Louisiana resulted in 100k+ power and internet outages. These outages both directly and indirectly affected the TALARC EchoLink server which is locally hosted.
As of June 4th, 6am CT, the server is back up and although more inclement weather is in the forecast, the projected impact to services that have been restored should be minimal.
Hosting the server in the cloud would definitely be the way to go, but funding is required to meet such a goal. A thread within the TALARC website Club Operations Forum has been started to discuss this and other topics. Please join us there.
